At “Biranj, The Royal Repast”, there’s all manner of biryani on offer. The restaurant’s highlight is Awadhi “Paki Gosht Biryani”, where the meat is pre-cooked with spices and then added with the rice to continue to be slow cooked. This old tradition of preparing the dish - there’s an inset story about Awadhi cuisine - google it - results in remarkable flavour.
