Bangalore Restaurants do the Mango

It all started when we were offered Mango Sushi at Teppan Bar and Grill. We were apprehensive at first, but one bite sealed the deal and made us realise that this king of fruits is an unsuspectingly compatible ingredient in gourmet cuisine. So this week we have listed some of the restaurants mixing up this beloved fruit in their recipes.

Donut giants Mad Over Donuts have served up a mango festival with many mango flavoured donuts. Tarak Bhattacharya, COO at the company told Explocity, “We create special donuts using Alphonso mangoes. The fans love it. These special mango donuts will be available across all Mad Over Donuts stores in the country.” This year in addition to donuts they have added refreshing mango smoothies too.

Cafe Mangii the Italian restaurant on Lavelle Road has specials like Mozzarella, Mango & Serrano Ham salad, Zesty Mango salsa with Italian poached meringue, Black Bean and Mango Rice Salad and the delicate Tomato, Mango and Balsamic Bruschetta. The drinks and desserts are equally exotic like Mango Italian Ice, Mango Panna Cotta, Mango Sorbet and Mango Italian Soda.

For the best Lobster and Mango Salad head to The United Sports Bar and Grill. Their Mango special cocktails include Mango daiquiri, Pineapple and Mango Rum Cocktails and the Mango-Ginger Cocktail With Cilantro, Mango Margarita. With IPL round the corner thi is the place to be at.

If you have something Indian in mind head to Khandani Rajdhani where they have a Mango Thali festival. Some interesting ones are Mango Jalebi, Raw Mango samosa, Mango Pulao, Mango Curry and so much more.
