Bangalore Rhapsody

In my culinary journey in Bangalore, I come across many cuisines. Bangalore is truly a cosmopolitan city which has something to offer to everyone, that too, with a smile.

Some of my favourite restaurants are:

Banjara Melting Pot - This restaurant is the fusion of two brands from Mumbai and Bengaluru (Melting Pot & Banjara). It has a multi cuisine menu with Pan Asian, which is very popular in Bangalore, North Indian, and the best of Coastal Cuisine. The focus on authenticity and nutrition of regional cooking.

You can pair your food with the best international wine and the single malts. Patrons can browse, their selection through the online iPad menu. At Banjara each and every detail, from hygiene to service, matches a five star grade facility in an exclusive ambience. It is located conveniently at Prestige Centre Point, Cunningham Road with valet Parking which alleviates all parking hassles.

Shiro - Located at UB City in the heart of Bangalore, Shiro, the premier luxury restaurant is known for it’s finest Oriental cuisine and fabulous cocktails. The Zen-like ambiance replete of the dramatic soaring interiors, the serene lighting, cascading waterfalls and charming blend of oriental designs transports you to another world altogether. My fav being teppanyaki table and lush outdoor terrace area to be seated at. Soak in the ambiance, and you will realise that Japanese, Chinese and Balinese elements come together to make the whole dining experience warm and engaging with the Orient.

Harry’s Bar - Located in the bustling and upbeat 100ft Road of Indiranagar and Koramangla, Harry’s is a place for friends and colleagues to unwind, relax and recharge. The specialties at Harry’s include the signature Harry’s Jazz Burger, fully loaded with a juicy mutton patty, sautéed onions, mushrooms, bacon and cheese served with fries and pickled vegetables; Harry’s Club, a triple layered sandwich with bacon, egg, chicken, cheese, ham; and Harry’s Fish and Chips, a classic bar favourite. Amongst the small plates, do not miss the Nacho’s, Paneer Pudina Malai Tikka, Prawns Salt and Pepper and the Sichuan Barbeque Chicken.

Grounded in a strong bar culture, Harry’s serves some of the finest wines and spirits. Harry’s also takes pride in its range of exclusive mocktails and cocktails created by a master mixologist. The highlights of the menu include the Caramel Popcorn Martini- made with liquid popcorn, butterscotch and vodka.
