Mantou

Mantou, often called a Chinese steamed bun. The origins of the name are hazy. One version has it that ‘mantou’ is from a tale about the medieval army general, Zhuge Liang. Another more popular explanation claims that the name mantou originated from the homophonous word mántóu meaning ‘barbarian's head.’
