Erudite Epicure

Amok is the national dish of Cambodia. Generally, in South-East Asian cuisine, "mok", "amok" or "ho mok" refers to the process of steam cooking a curry in banana leaves. Amok is a thick soup cooked with fish, meat vegetable, eggs, coconut milk and galangal. The most common type of Amok is made with fish, others have beef or chicken. This curry is eaten with rice.
