It seems that most cuisines have dumplings. Even Swedish cuisine has Kroppkaka. These are potato dumplings with an onion or bacon, other meat or pork filling. They are mainly eaten in southern Sweden and the recipe varies, especially the proportion of raw and boiled potatoes used.
Kroppkakor (the plural) are served with butter, cream and lingonberry jam. The fillings also vary with some less common fillings. Some include eel, baltic herring or smoked goose breast. Spices are variously seen used as well.
