My Favourite Eateries in Bangalore

The food scene in Bangalore has evolved enormously over the past few decades and the city has comfortably become a hub for wide variety of dishes from across the globe. The range of food available is unimaginable and the exceptional growth is seen in every sector, from delicious street food to luxurious gastronomical experiences. With all the scrumptious food and incredible variety of restaurants it wouldn't be an exaggeration to tout this city as the emerging food hub of the country.
Every restaurant that emerges, puts in their best to be above the rest. After spending two decades in the city, I have had an interesting food journey so far and when I look back these are the few places that stand out in my opinion and I am happy to be calling them - "My Favourite Eateries".
Smally's Resto Cafe
This place is the perfect example for "All good things come in small packages". It's the smallest cafe in India with just 138 Sq-ft of space and they hold a place in the Limca Book of World Records. First outlet is in Ulsoor and now they have branches at Church Street and Kammanahalli. All their outlets have rustic interiors, DIY lamps, innovative decor, hippie posters and comic wall paintings. Menu is curated beautifully with a mix of American, Italian, Continental cuisine. They are known for their affordable yummy burgers.
Must try : Chickaboo Burger,Turkey burger, Farmville Burger, Red velvet Shake, Steaks.
Absolute Barbecues
One of the best grill-buffet places in Bangalore at affordable prices and totally a foodie's paradise serving European, Mediterranean and North Indian cuisine. Located at Marathahalli and BTM Layout. Equal variety for both vegetarians and nonvegetarians. Every visit of mine to AB's has been memorable. They have the sinful grills to start with, exotic variety of wish grills, elaborate main course and the delicious desserts and cold stone ice creams which are perfect to end the king size feast.

Toit
With the number of breweries that are coming up in the city, Toit still stands on top for me. It's a landmark by itself, comfortably located on the 100 Ft road in Indiranagar. Three storied structure with each floor having a charm of its own. Spacious and yet crowded all the time, reservation recommended. Beer and food are two things Bangaloreans drool for and this place is a epitome of it serving Italian and American cuisine with six naturally crafted beers along with other alcohol.
Must try : Baked Nachos, Crispy Chicken Wings, Chicken Piccata, Fried Calamari, Cream Cheese Pizza.
Corner House Ice Cream
Any Bangalorean will swear by this place for Ice creams. It's the city's very own ice cream parlour which started way back in 1982. The adrenaline rush that I get everytime I see their menu is unexplainable. They have a huge range of ice creams, milkshakes, classic signature sundaes and cake desserts. My evergreen favourite and I can never get bored of Corner House. First outlet is located in Residency road and currently has 12 branches spread across the city.
Must try: Death By Chocolate, Cake fudge, Litchi with Cream and ice cream and EVERYTHING!!
