Namma Bengaluru At Leela Palace

Citrus, the all day dining restaurant of The Leela Palace Bangalore introduces the concept of local Saturday brunch. It is the most elaborate brunch spread which pays ode to the vibrant city.

The Namma Bengaluru brunch is a showcase of the glorious flavours of Karnataka with traditional specialities from Coorg, Mangalore, Karwar, Mysore, Udipi, Hubli, Bangalore and many others.

Come Saturday and Citrus transforms itself into a vintage Bangalore look. Decked up in old city maps, channapatna toys as table tops, Lal Bagh push carts with goodies like steamed corn, boiled peanuts, cucumber, raw mango, Iyengar bakery sweets and other interesting tid-bits.

Chef Purshottam, Corporate Master Chef for South Indian cuisine has meticulously handcrafted menus with a good mix of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes from across Bangalore and Karnataka. The menu consists of more than 100 specialties which include the recipes from the bygone era like over 25 varieties of traditional Dosas. Some of the other specialities include Kuri kal soup (lamb trotters broth), Kundapur Mutton Curry (Lamb cooked with dry coconut and Badgi chilli gravy), Kori Roti (Chicken curry with crispy rice pan cake), Mangalore Southekayi Majjige Huli (Mangalore cucumber cooked with curd gravy), Coorgi Fish Curry (Fish cooked with fresh coriander & finish with kacham puli), and much more.

Commenting on the Saturday brunch concept, Kunal Chauhan, the General Manager of the hotel said, “With the rapid growth of various cuisines across the world, churning out their monotone fare of dishes and run of the mill experience, the gourmet street food of Bangalore and authentic recipes from the bygone era of popular regions of Karnataka are losing significance at a very fast pace. Hence, in an attempt to revive the lost cuisine of

Karnataka and street food of Bangalore, Citrus, The Leela Palace Bangalore takes pride in showcasing the road-side delicacies in a plush & tidy atmosphere on a bright Saturday."
