Soumya G’s Must Visit Restaurant List

It's been eight years of a wonderful life in Bangalore and this city turned me into a foodie. With restaurants with almost all cuisines, each restaurant has its own story. Being a home chef and a blogger I love exploring new restaurants in town. So here are my few picks for the Explocity readers.

  1. Blue Ginger, The Taj West End, Race Course Road

If you are looking for a romantic dinner with dim lights and serenity around you, then this is the place. Situated in middle of city, this restaurant has got its own charm, heritage and history. Blue Ginger is the first Vietnamese Restaurant in India which is part of The Taj group; the largest chain of hotels which is celebrating 128 years of excellence of a colonial luxury hotel. Blue Ginger has a wonderful set menu and also a la carte. The staffs will help you to select the best Vietnamese delights according to your taste buds. Must try: Wok tossed Chicken with cashew nut and ginger, Green Papaya salad, Vegetables with lemongrass and Chilli, Steamed Jasmine Rice, Prawns in yellow curry, Sangria, and lemongrass ice cream

  1. Meghana, Marathahalli

I would call this place a biryani heaven. Meghana is known for their spicy Andhra biryani which is less oily and full of flavors. Their portions are quite good. Other than Biriyani, they also serve Andhra food with a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian side dishes. Must try: Chicken Boneless Biryani, Paneer Biriyani, Egg fry, Chicken 65, and Meals

  1. Wareabouts Grill and Lounge, Marathahalli

Wareabouts is located in Marathahalli, surrounded by IT companies, shopping malls, and multiplexes. This is an attractive restaurant with an ambience of wooden furnitures, hanging lights, terrace lounge, courteous staffs. They have grill, a la carte and brunch on weekdays and weekends with attractive offers. With the North Indian, Mediterranean, and European cuisine. Must try: Barbeque items, Wag Tangdi Kabab, Grilled Mushroom, Corn and spinach bake, Schezwan Noodles, Apple Jalebi, Rabri, Shahi Tukda, and African sling cocktail

  1. Truffles, Koramangala

Truffles is known for its burgers, steaks, starters and shakes. This place is crowded most of the time and you need to wait for some time to try their signature burgers. Wait will be all worth when you have the first bite from your burger. The size of the burger is filling and they serve chips along with burgers. Must try: Crisp-Cross Chicken Burger, All American Cheese Burger, Chicken Lasagne, Cold Coffees (Ferrero Rocher and Frozen Hazelnut).
