Dive into a Bowl of Piping Hot Ramen this Monsoon at The Fatty Bao, Bangalore

Dive into a Bowl of Piping Hot Ramen this Monsoon at The Fatty Bao, Bangalore

The rains have finally arrived and Ramen is your perfect antidote to the gloomy, monsoon days. If summer is synonymous with ice-cream and ultra chilled drinks, then the rainy season is all about piping hot soup and what better than the addictive Ramen at The Fatty Bao, Bangalore. There is nothing more satisfying than slurping warm broth on a rainy day and if there is one dish that can satisfy your soul, it is the Ramen at The Fatty Bao. What could possibly be more appealing and comforting than a big bowl of noodles dunked in a rich, delicious broth generously garnished with meats, spring onions and plethora of toppings including soft boiled eggs and spiked with a dash of chilly oil.

At The Fatty Bao – we have a selection of Ramens, with noodles made in-house and and our stock simmered slowly for over 8 hours, giving the broth an unparalleled robust flavour. Add to that, the toppings and meats and the options are amazing. Its very hearty, warming and complex flavor profile makes it such a popular dish world-wide. With each mouthful you get a bit of broth, meat, and garnishing and there is no better way to enjoy it than hunched over a bowl slurping your way through till the last drop – with that inevitable splash or two on your clothes! The Fatty Bao Chasu Ramen is a delicious combination of pork stock with bacon, braised pork belly, soft boiled egg and a generous heap of bean sprouts. Another signature is the Charred Beef Ramen made with beef broth with miso paste, grilled broccoli, mushrooms, crispy ginger, beef tenderloin & floss. Executive Chef Prashanth and his team present a selection of unique Ramens including the Fatty Pho, a hearty chicken broth with smoked chicken, ginger, fried onions, scallions and black noodles and the Spicy Red Chicken Ramen made with chilli broth, dashi with minced chicken, sautéed leeks, scallions and soft boiled egg. Roll up your sleeves and dig into a bowl of piping hot Grilled Seafood Ramen with fish and prawn broth, grilled prawns, fish, calamari, kamaboko (fish cake), homemade pickled garlic and sweet potato fries.

Vegetarians, fret not, we have several delicious vegetarian options too such as the Exotic Mushroom Ramen prepared with mushroom broth, broccoli, Renkan chips, assorted mushrooms, grilled scallion, garlic and topped with crispy onions & smoked sweetcorn. Another is the Via Malaysia with its aromatic coconut broth infused with kaffir lime leaves, chilli, garlic, lemongrass, galangal and basil.

All things Japanese have grown hugely in popularity in recent years and the Ramen perhaps more so. There’s something about this Japanese noodle dish that satisfies every craving- it’s rich broth and combination of toppings that make it so addictive. Part of its appeal is the very nature of this slurp-inducing dish of soup, meat and noodles. The very act of eating a ramen – brings back the joy and simplicity of soupy noodles- comfort food one enjoyed as a kid or even as a cash strapped student. While the making of a Ramen is highly skilled and complex, its popularity is due to its universal appeal and endless variations. Essentially broth, noodles, topping and the seasoning yet each of these components requires great skill to put together. Its truly soul food that appeals to everyone.

The Fatty Bao breaks new ground with its inventive food, vibrant décor and a fresh treatment of casual Asian dining. It blends a chic, laid-back vibe with an amazing cocktail and culinary offering brought to you by an experienced F&B team that draws inspiration from Asia’s vast and diverse culinary history.
