MRS. IPPI (Ipshita Roy)
Jazz and Blues artist, Mrs. Ippi announces the release of her first 6 track debut album, “Love, Life and Melody.” After spending 9 years performing music that other people chose for her, she finally sat down to find her own voice and her sound. She has performed several times as the front pReleasing her first single in 2016, she began exploring a sound,
which is hard for her to categorize in boxes. Drawing influences from Jazz, Blues and Soul music, she tries to fuse her roots of Hindustani Classical in her approach to melody and composition through the songs recorded.Mrs. Ippi blends together all her vintage influences in an intricate modern amalgamation in path to explore a new sound defined by Soul,Blues and Jazz often termed as ‘Crossover Blues/soul” inspired by artists such as Melody Gardot, Jamie Cullum, Stacey Kent, Gregory
Porter to name a few. Performing in set ups of Duo, Trio and band, Mrs. Ippi has performed across many corporate events, brunches and
private gatherings, across India.
Having learned from international artists such as Gina Savino, Julie Hill, and Raphael Brochet, she has successfully toured across Australia, Macau, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Goa and Bangalore and has also been a part of several music festivals such as Mahindra Blues Festival, Cotai jazz and Blues festival (Macau), Kasauli Rhythm and Blues, among others.

Hanita Bhambri is a 23 year old powerhouse singer, songwriter and poet with a masters in marketing and brand management. She wasn’t born into a family music; she didn’t grow up listening to a lot of music either but art has its ways to find a home in us. She started writing when she was 11 and to give voice to those songs she started to sing, only to realise she had little talent in music. Yet on quiet evenings when no one was around she would hum a tune to herself and the voice in her head sounded beautiful. As a teenager she taught herself to sing by screaming along to Avril Lavigne and Amy Lee songs playing on full blast. She found her true calling with music when she heard Damien Rice and Ben Howard and slowly her own music matured with that. The girl who was bullied through school for her singing, went on to pull a clean-sweep win at inter-college singing competitions in DU college festivals and other national singing competitions. Still, if you ask her what’s the focal point of all her songs, she’ll tell you it’s her words and not her voice. That is something that got recognised by BBC World Service in a documentary that featured her music as one of the best upcoming acts in India. One of her songs, even as a scratch recording, got tweeted by Raghu Dixit, Vishal Dadlani and Vijay Nair. She went on to perform as an opening act for Raghu Dixit in Gurgaon, for Prateek Kuhad at Fangirl & Gig Week and shared the stage with Dhruv Visvanath at WYSIWYG conference. She also reached the finals of Hard Rock Rising, Delhi – a hunt for the best acts globally. She’s also shared her journey as a Speaker at TEDxDAIICT and JoshTalks. She also performs as a spoken word poet and held the third rank at Ahmedabad’s poetry slam. She’s all set to release her EP in a few months
