Stressing Mindfully – 4 Day Workshop

STRESS – IT’S NOT THE LOAD THAT BREAKS YOU DOWN, IT IS THE WAY YOU CARRY IT – LOU HOLTZ

If we ask you,”how do you know if you are stressed?”, what would you tell us? Would you be talking of it as an emotion? a block? exhaustion? stuckness? impulsive actions or maybe its complete inaction. Maybe your reaction is completely different from all of the above.

The truth is irrespective of what you have defined stress as, its the same internal reaction for all of us – the release of cortisol and adrenaline, that puts us in an overdrive. The truth also is “Stress does not vanish when we work on it, we simply get better at handling Stress when we work on it”

Almost 40 years of research on stress reduction through Mindfulness by experts like John-Kabat-Zinn and teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, Allan Waters, Jack Kornfield to name a few, shows that – learning to pause , attending to the present moment, expanding our perceptions of what is our reality and consistent practice to train the brain to be in observation of self and the world around us significantly helps in reduction of Stress.

WaheNadhi brings to you a 12 hour program to learn to “Stress Mindfully”

The program is divided into 4 weeks ( 3 hours per week) . In this program participants will learn to:

Recognize their individual and other’s expression of stress

Use the neuroscience behind the body and brain’s response to stress as a tool to help cope with stress

Experience and practice a variety of Mindfulness exercises that assist in the process of stress reduction

Use tools that will help create daily practices of Mindfulness that will help with handling stress.

Please note:
– The total number of participants is restricted to a maximum of 12.
– The program runs for 4 Saturdays (April 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th) from 10 a.m to 1 p.m
– Participants are requested to bring yoga mats or cushions to sit comfortably as we will engage in therapeutic and meditative practices
– As this program is planned to follow from one week to another, participants cannot join once we begin on 7th of April.
