Dohkhlieh might sound very similar to the Gujarati Dhokla but is a lot more favourable to the non-vegetarians in the country. The dish is a salad made in Meghalaya, mainly among the Khasi tribe.
Easy to make and delicious to consume, Dohkhlieh is made with boiled pork, onions and green chillies. This salad can be eaten as a side dish more than a separate course. Though Indian cuisine rarely has the segregation of the meal into courses. It can be a lunch item as well as a dinner item.
