As Le Meridien Bangalore turns 30, there is celebration in the air.

Longtime chief of the hotel, Suresh Badlaney, General Manager at Le Meridien told Explocity, "The existence of the hotel for three decades in the city is a landmark for all of us at Le Meridien Bangalore.”

With justifiable pride, he said that the hotel operated for since 1987 with “the support of our esteemed guests”.

The hotel-wide celebrations start with beer. Of course. There’s the 2030 Unlimited Celebrations at the Sports Bar and Lounge which features unlimited beer and two starters, for Rs 2030.

At Jashn, the Indian restaurant,  a candlelit dinner comes with a bottle of sparkling wine and table d'hôte (fixed) menu. Jashn is particularly convivial and decidedly romantic for its poolside ambience, especially when it gets chilly and let’s-get-cuddly.

With 30 being the theme, the hotel’s Play Salon offers a Therapy Package that includes massages and facials and an Illuminating Radiance Facial and a Swedish Massage at a 30% percent discount.

To qualify for the grand prize, you need to spend Rs 3030. You stand a chance to win a brand new Tata Nexon. "The newly launched Tata Nexon is the bumper prize for our esteemed guests who patronizes our hotel during this period," Badlaney said, "a draw of lots for a minimum billing of Rs. 3030 at any of our restaurants and Sports Bar & Lounge will be carried out at the end of the celebrations to determine the lucky winner of the bumper prize."

For the city, that Le Meridien Bangalore turns 30 is more of a watershed moment than most newbie Bangaloreans would give it credit for. Not that long ago, it was only one of five five-star hotels in Bangalore and has held its position straight up for 30 years.
