The Al Fresco Delight Of The New Sunday Brunch At Vivanta By Taj Yeshwantpur

In the already peaceful oasis in the buzz of busy Yeshwantpur, there is a banyan tree whose spreading branches will play host and shelter to the new Sunday brunch at Vivanta by Taj Yeshwantpur.

A banyan tree is not only the mother of all flora but it is an invitation to the tranquil. Add beer to that and food, food, food. And then consider that the untranquil, frisky kids are going to be so absorbed with the distractions being planned for them that you will have reached the parenting Valhalla - you have happy kids and you have happy beer.

This new the new Sunday brunch at Vivanta by Taj Yeshwantpur is called “Brunch Under the Banyan Tree” - literally there, under the banyan tree in their courtyard.

Speaking to Explocity, Dinesh Varma, Director F&B said, “We want this to become the the most popular brunch in the city.” Located in the courtyard, the relaxed alfresco setting and the serene open air environs provide the perfect ambience to spend a leisurely Sunday.

“A brunch has always been best way of spending an easy Sunday,” Varma added, ”and no other hotel in the city offers so much in an open air setting with so many interactive options”.

The brunch is easily one of the most extensive ones in the city with Chinese, Mexican, Indian, Italian, British and Mediterranean dishes...and there are live stations such as the live carving station featuring Roasted Smoked Pork Leg and Whole Slow Roasted derby Chicken, with the works: mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, gravy, roasted vegetables etc, as well as live Charcuterie display and a modern European BBQ.

These creations are at the hand of the celeb culinary custodian of the Taj, Executive Chef Selvaraju, who has taken this hotel under his wing in addition to keeping watch over things at the Vivanta on MG Road.

The new Sunday brunch at Vivanta is nothing without pasta at one end and Chaat counters on the other; but this one includes a live sushi counter. There’s salads, Aapam & Stew, shawarma rolls and conventional starters and mains to choose from: kebabs, Continental, North Indian, South Indian and Asian dishes. And the new Bangalorean alimentary anthem, biryani.

The hotel, sensitive to the needs of the more carousing of their customers i.e., those who may have a little more than their share of a good time the night before, have a healthy alternative to the hair of the dog: a “herbal detox health station” with a blend of juices from amla, wheatgrass, aloe vera, neem pumpkin and carrot.

Staggering over to the dessert menu gastronomes will find profiteroles, tarts, cupcakes and and platters of things that always seem to look too good to resist.

“The perfect ambience, perfect setting, interactive food counters, fun activities for the children and much more is what sets our brunch apart from the others available in the market,” Varma told Explocity.

Considering the somnolent effect of such fulfilling repast, we wonder if there ought to be a law against eating and driving.
