Event Description

Bengaluru: Kicking off in December, the 10th Attakkalari India Biennial is set to bring curtains down after an eventful three month-long celebration of contemporary dance and movement arts. The festival's roster ensured that there was a little bit of everything from performances and films to talks and workshops. Now, on its final week, the Biennial will end on a high note with live performances by three talented dancers and a dance film from Scottish Dance Theatre, Scotland.

The Dance Film

The last event of the Biennial is a dance film called Life and Times. Conceived and directed by Scottish Dance Theatre’s artistic director Joan Clevillé in 2020, Life and Times is unique in that it was filmed in one continuous shot on the stage of Dundee Rep Theatre and it is set to a soundtrack of European Baroque music. Riffing off from life during the pandemic, the dance film is a visual meditation on human fragility and our relationship with time. A discussion with the team of Life and Times will follow the screening. When: Feb 26, 6.30pm, online
