ABOUT TUESDAYS WITH THE BARD AT URBAN SOLACE

Urban Solace – Your Café for the Soul – is India's first true cultural café, established in 2009. As a pioneer in experiences centered on poetry, comedy, music, art, literature, and more, Urban Solace has nurtured creativity and expression for over 15 years.

“Tuesdays with the Bard @ Urban Solace” earned a place in the Limca Book of Records 2016 as “The Longest Running Poetry Event in India”, becoming a beacon for poetic expression.

For over 15 years, this event has evoked tears of joy, moments of reflection, bursts of laughter, and applause, creating a community bound by the magic of words. With every poet, Urban Solace has created a space where voices are heard and emotions transcend.

ABOUT THE FEATURED POET 1: Soumya Ramasamy

Soumya Ramasamy, M.A., B.Ed., has dabbled in strokes in the world of teaching, newspaper editing, public relations, and content management in the muggle world.

In the literary realm, she is a poet who has presented her work at various platforms. She's the founder of Zero Budget Poetry. An avid blogger, she is into writing short stories, and she's working on her first novel.

Apart from her job and burning passion for literature, she loves to cook for family and friends. She does meditation and takes walks to unwind. She seeks inspiration from "me" time and Mother Nature to pen her next set of works. She's been part of the Urban Solace Literary family since 2011.

ABOUT THE FEATURED POET 2: Divya Ramachandran

Divya Ramachandran is an author and content creator. Divya primarily writes books for children and has her own audiobook series called - Magic Ink. She also loves to dabble in poetry and has written a book called - Echoes of Illusions, which talks about her outlook on life, as she observes and relates. She focuses on how we as humans are funny little creatures who need to rediscover ourselves every day! She also questions reality and perception and how the nuances of life are to be embraced for the better.

ABOUT THE FEATURED POET 3: Robina

Robina has been a child and teacher educator besides heading schools as Principal for three decades. From teaching the elite of the society she moved on to work with the destitute children in need of care and protection. She has worked in close association with the children on the street addicted to solution and substances deriving greater satisfaction and pleasure being in their midst.

Dabbling with paints and creating something out of nothing is her passion. She indulges in painting pots and other art work.

Robina started knocking on the doors of poetry to give vent to her feelings, emotions and observations. Her poetry is abstract and taps on the sleeping minds opening up vistas of speculation.

A simple person who keeps to herself while being keenly observant, she is a crime thriller addict while firmly believing in the philosophy of Pluto.... "Be truthful although truth is damaging".
