Event Description

Prepare to be captivated by the magical world of `Sing A Lullaby` as it takes center stage in an unforgettable live performance. Gurupriya Atreya and Vedanth Bharadwaj, the visionary duo behind this extraordinary musical journey, invite you to experience the power of lullabies in a way like never before.

During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, they embarked on a year-long online workshop series, collecting, researching, and sharing 52 lullabies in 38 languages from across India and the world. This heartwarming initiative brought together over 450 individuals from diverse corners of the globe, creating an oasis of warmth and comfort during stressful times when even sleep seemed elusive. Lullabies, believed to be the oldest genre in music, carry centuries of quiet love. They are the soothing songs that parents and caregivers sing to their children, a relaxing breath that envelops all. Within the simple lyrics and melodies of lullabies lie emotions, stories, age-old wisdom, and beautiful imagery from nature.

From the tranquil melodies of Tamil Nadu to the serene harmonies of Spain and the enchanting tunes of Nepal, 'Sing A Lullaby' transcends borders, proving that love, language, and music know no bounds, not even in the virtual realm of Zoom calls. But this live performance isn't just about melodies; it's a profound exploration of the nuance in words and the layers within the music.

Renowned guest artists, including Sikkil C Gurucharan, Radhika Sood Nayak, and more, will join Gurupriya and Vedanth, enriching the experience with their expertise. One of the most cherished collaborations involved children on the autism spectrum from Chennai's V-Excel Educational Trust, who penned an original lullaby. Gurupriya and Vedanth, true to their promise, set the children's creation to music and shared it with the lullaby community.

With five lullabies already released and more in production, the journey continues. Now, Gurupriya and Vedanth are taking these mesmerizing lullabies to a wider audience through live concerts and workshops. Following their successful start in Bengaluru, they are set to perform and teach in Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Mumbai, and even embark on a planned tour of Europe. They aspire to create spaces where music becomes a tool for building community, cultivating harmony, and embracing healing. Don`t miss the chance to be part of this unique musical experience where cultures blend, boundaries disappear, and lullabies become a bridge to a world of unity, love, and serenity. Join 'Sing A Lullaby' live, and let the soothing melodies carry you away on a journey of heartfelt connection and shared harmony.
