Event Description
Pianist Stephen Porter presents a program of Beethoven's final three piano sonatas Op. 109, 110, and 111. The great 19th-century German composer wrote several entries in his diary about Indian philosophy, religion, and transcendentalism. These elements are embedded in the music and create a journey into timelessness.
100% of the concert proceeds will directly be used to support the Centre for Learning (CFL) and its ongoing programmes. CFL is a community of students and adults interested in learning about ourselves and our relationship with the world. This learning involves not only academics and other life skills but also a deeper exploration of our emotions and thought processes and the way we respond to the challenges of life. The questions raised by J Krishnamurti play a significant role in our educational vision.
