A Sound Democracy is a documentary film, which explores the journey of a song, its music and meaning - from the musician who creates it - through the DJ sound system which amplifies it - and which eventually becomes a soundtrack to a volatile, moving mob which creates violence in its wake. In this age of loud moving, DJ soundsystems, who wields the power to control its 12000 Watt throw? How has this phenomenon shaped the reality we strive to maintain in a democratic society?
About the Filmmaker
Dhananjai Sinha is a filmmaker and cultural researcher with over a decade of experience blending Humanities and Technology. A MICA Ahmedabad graduate, he creates purpose-driven films showcased globally, drawing on expertise in music content and immersive tech, and collaborating with a global network of professionals.
