Prabha Khaitan Foundation is all set to celebrate “Aakhar Dakshin”, a literature festival on South Indian languages. It brings to you Konkani, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada authors. To be inaugurated by Chandrashekhara Kambara, the festival will feature many well-known authors like Damodar Mauzo, Perumal Murugan, K Satchidanandan, Prathibha Nandakumar, Vivek Shanbhag, KR Meera, Vasudhendra, Kannan Sundaram, Deepa Ganesh, Purnima Tammireddy etc. The moderators include Sabin Iqbal, Stanley Carvalho, Karthik Venkatesh, Ajitha GS and Subodh Sankar and the festival features poetry readings by Mamta Sagar, Ramesh Karthik Nayak, and Syam Sudhakar. With Kannada folk songs by Urban Folk Project, and a dance performance by Shinjini Kulkarni and Yamini Reddy, the festival is curated by Shinie Antony.
