The play is about a lower level official in the army of Tipu Sultan. Since he does not know precise details about himself, he remains anonymous. This is not only a story of the Palace intrigues and dominance, but also of the official who represents the Palace, his spouse and his mistress. It is also a story of the victims of dominance, the story of community who protect the people at all times. Amidst this, deep set in the system is organised systemic look, the harm to the lives of innocent people, the grandeur of violence, ego, back stabbing and the destruction of nature. What do these communicate? Why do the innocent people suffer so much? While at the one end we have the bureaucracy which creates unhappiness, at the other end there are slaving people who survive on eternally being victims of unhappiness while pretending to be loyal in order to seek a short lived happiness. These look complimenting each other, while the history is being bloodied living in the shadow and crumbling under its own weight. The sudden and abstract questions of nationalism, devotion to the nation question the very existence of these communities. While the play is in a historical settig, the story is eternally contemporary that subtly depicts\ politics, administration, social structures, economic being, cruelty, fairness and injustice. All these are depicted as a simple folklore but intertwined, without becoming complex and remaining relevant in contemporary times. The play attempts to depict the dominance of power equations and the violence and use of force embedded in the power.
