About the piece:

Aiyyo Rama! follows the journey of the protagonist reflecting on their childhood deeply rooted in the world of Bharatanatyam and Rama Navami celebrations. The play is a humorous and satirical take on how tradition, gender roles and societal expectations shape one's early life within a patriarchal society. As time passes and life moves forward, there is a struggle to untangle inherited norms, facing emotional dilemmas around identity, relationships and questioning what to hold on to and what to let go.
