This is the story of Angara, an educated young man from the Koraga community of Tulunadu, and Nethra, the daughter of a local landlord. Standing against social evils like the generations-old `Ajalu practice,` Angara refuses to continue the rituals forced upon his community in the name of tradition. Meanwhile, Nethra takes a firm stand, deciding that she must enter the Kambala arena, a space traditionally forbidden to women.
In between all this, a romance blossoms between the two. Caught between the oppression of the dominant classes and his own community’s identity, which path will Angara ultimately choose? Will Angara and Nethra’s struggle for change succeed?
