Event Description
Anubhav, the 2nd Edition, is all about the myriad emotions a dancer experiences, which evolves through many phases, through the years of her engagement with the art and the creative journey that is part of this process. Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar awardees Shashwati and Lakshmi will be sharing their Anubhav through their respective genre, Odissi and Bharatanatyam. There will be explorations of solo dances, as well as the duet aspects of presentation – a coming together of these two classical Indian Dance forms of Bharatanatyam and Odissi, from the Eastern Coast of India, Both dance forms being deeply rooted in tradition and the vernacular. Anubhav will showcase the solo choreographies of Shashwati and Lakshmi as well as their gurus. The duet presentations are created and choreographed by Smt. Sharmila Biswas.
