Anurakti is a solo Manipuri dance performance by Shrobana Mitra Das. "What we are after, above all, is a sense of divine inspiration that touches the very core of our being. That lives throughout every aspect of our existence, To let nothing drag us into the monotony of living, but to always move to the unique rhythm of each passing day. To give nothing but all of us- " my soul, my heart, my fire." About the Artist Shrobana Mitra Das has undertaken intense training under the eminent Manipuri dance Exponent Smt Priti Patel from an early age. Her quest for knowledge took her to Manipur again and again. She stayed in Guru’s Ashram to receive first-hand experience of the “Living Tradition” and Guru Shish Parampara of Manipur. With maturity, these have converged into a personal mission. On the one hand, she is going through the rigorous journey of classical sadhana, which enabled her to get national and international exposure and recognition, while on the other hand, she nurtures an equally intense personal interest in the healing efficacy of movement and rhythm. She has been working with specially-abled children for the last 25 years and trying to motivate them physically, mentally and spiritually through her dance. She strongly believes dance is an art which comes from within and should be used for society - for a noble cause.
