Born, we are, into this earth as a seed bound by a chord to the elements of the universe - as a body of earth water, fire, air and ether. The chord from the womb is now bound to the universe through the primordial sounds, vagaries of seasons, triumphs and turmoils of relationships. Bound to the multitudes of nature, relationships, ideas and perspectives, a voice surfaces from within traversing the terrains, breaking norms and questioning notions... The chord slowly unwinds and forays beyond the universe and its multitudes - rejoicing in the freedom of Apāra - The Unbound. A Trayi Production Concept, Creation & Choreography by Anuradha Venkataraman Radhika Ramanujan Ramaa Venugopalan Anuradha, Radhika and Ramaa are three Bharatnatyam dancers trained under different Gurus and have been practitioners, teachers and performers for more than 2 decades. Individually their dancing styles are distinct and each brings in a different flavour to their style, practising the basics together they could find unison as a group . The three of them believe in the power of the form of Bharatanatyam and how it gives them freedom for their thoughts yet grounded in the structural nuances. Though their approaches are different yet they find the right balance to create works.Apaara is a product of their work together on their body and mind.
