Inauguration – 19th Feb 2021 – 6 PM

Art Houz presents “Dream Sequences”, a solo Printmaking show by Kadambari Mehta from the 19th – 27th of February, 2021. The show will be inaugurated by Sri JMS Mani, an eminent and senior Artist from Bangalore at 6 PM on the 19th of February.

“Dreams are the places where the imagination is uncaged. All through the day I walk living inside my mind choosing my thoughts and actions, but in the simplest of the acts-sleep, the true mind emerges to the fore. My dreams are the reflections of my inner self in its purest and most honest form. Serenity encompasses the land of my dreams. The water sparkles, the plants sing green, the fragrance of the blooming flowers gently spread by the divine breeze. There I am sitting blissful amidst the colourful haven built by my imagination. Tagging along are the cats that never cease to bemuse me, although their motivations I know not.” 

She further adds “The depictions of my dreams are simple, yet the connection I have with these dreams are intense. Carving myself as opposed to painting myself involves the additional physical effort that induces stress and releases it at the same time, rightly reflecting the intensity and depth of my experiences in these dreams.”

Kadambari Mehta

Kadambari Mehta is a graduate of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore. She has completed her BFA in Painting, MFA in Printmaking , 2017. She has held a solo exhibition in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore in 2013, -  Mahua Art Gallery, Bangalore  in 2018, Alliance Francaise de Bangalore in 2019 and at Cymroza Art Gallery, Mumbai in  January, 2020. Kadambari has been fortunate to receive valuable guidance from Milind Nayak, a senior and much acclaimed artist of the country. In her younger days, she has also imbibed the techniques of the Mysore style of painting from Smt Neela Panch, a renowned artist.

The art pieces start from Rs. 15000/-
