Bengaluru, “Saturday, 7 March 2020: Art Houz presents “I RISE EDITION VI” a group show by 14 women artists from all over India and also from . The opening reception is on 7 th March 2020 at 6.30 p.m. Prof. M.J. Kamalakshi Vice President Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat along with Divya Sara Thomas, Deputy Commissioner of Police, CAR HQ Bangalore will grace the ceremony at Art Houz, 63, Palace Road, Vasanthnagar, Bengaluru.

ABOUT THE SHOW
International Women’s Day honours the women who have paved the path towards our progress and struggled to take ‘womanhood’ to a level where it is now. Unfortunately, at the same time, the day is a reminder of the discrimination and inequality that still continues to plague our society. This special day, dedicated to women around the world, is a celebration of the great success of women across all spheres of life as well as shaping the future.

The objective of Women’s Day is to express love and gratitude towards women’s’ contribution to our lives and society. It honours the power and struggles of women who have broken all barriers and reached the pinnacle of success in every sphere of life. Today, women across the globe actively participate in politics, education, social work, corporate, sports, IT, research & development, innovation and diverse fields, and have left their footprints.

This Exhibition I RISE EDITION VI, is an amalgamation of various mediums and styles with no particular subject theme, In this exhibition we bring together outstanding works of 14 women artist namely Arathi HK , Bhavani GS, Harshita Vishnu, Kapila Nahender, Kalavathy Kamalnathan. Nalini Nagaraj, Runa Biswas, Sashirekha Rajasekhar, Sharmila Aravind, Sonali Iyengar, Sunita Patil, Urmila VG, Yamini Pallem, Zidrija Janusaite. . We present the viewer with an eclectic array of artworks in varied mediums ranging from Paintings, Drawings, Pen on paper, Paper Mache, Portraits, Etching, Photography and Installation.
