Event Description
Heighten your awareness of your surrounding sonic environment.
In this workshop we will explore techniques such as Deep Listening. We will also learn practical techniques of field recording, as well as learn to use tools such as microphones, sound recorders and digital audio workstations. Participants will also be introduced to important works – both texts and audio pieces that deal with the subject matter.
The workshop is ideal for those interested in a deeper understanding of not just music and sound, but also to develop a practice of listening to oneself, the others and the environment. No previous knowledge in audio or sound required.
