Art @ Urban Solace - The Gallery for Creative Visual Self Expression was opened in 2010 and has for over a decade launched the work of hundreds of artists; some of these artists have now grown to have showcased their work in galleries around the world while also finding collectors and owning their work across the country and from around the world.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS: DHARIYA

Dhariya is an abstract artist from Bangalore city who loves to play with colors and textures. She mostly work with acrylic paints on canvas but also creates using cyanotype and doodle art with ink pens. Abstract art helps her channel her perceptions, sensations and experiences which can be overwhelming at times. Creating art is a meditative tool that helps her explore the inner journey that are beyond words. “I have travelled all over India for several years. Traveling is also about the inner journey, the way each new experience shapes your understanding of the world and yourself. It's about the unexpected detours, the serendipitous encounters, and the challenges that test your resilience and adaptability. Art helps me to connect and communicate with this global family across time and space. It gives me a feeling of unity and compassion. It helps me to pause and contemplate the newness and the oldness of the world around me”. Dhariyas’ friends often find several imaginary characters and stories while viewing her artwork. Abstract art often prompts reflection and introspection. It challenges the viewer to confront the ambiguity and embrace the unknown, fostering a deeper connection with one’s own emotions and thoughts.
