Oct 06 2025 to Oct 06 2025 7 p.m.
7 4th Main Rd, Stage 2, Domlur 560071
Join us for an evening of timeless music spanning the Classical, Romantic, and operatic traditions.
The program opens with Mozart’s Sonata for Violin and Piano K. 379, followed by two highlights from Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto: the stately “Ouverture” and the aria “Piangerò la sorte mia.” Three elegant songs by Reynaldo Hahn—Décrets indolents du hasard, L’heure exquise, and La dernière valse—close the first half.
After the interval, Schubert’s expansive Piano Trio No. 1 in B-flat major, Op. 99 takes center stage, before the concert ends on a lighthearted note with Offenbach’s witty operetta numbers: Ah que j’aime les militaires and Tu n’es pas riche, tu n’es pas beau.
A program of contrasts—poised and playful, intimate and grand—this evening offers a journey through some of Europe’s most beloved musical voices.

Mathilde Borsarello Herrmann
Violin
Music has been Mathilde Borsarello Herrmann’s language since childhood. A laureate of the Marguerite Long–Jacques Thibaud Competition in 2010, she studied at the CNR in Paris and the CNSMDP, where her teachers included Suzanne Gessner, Patrice Fontanarosa, Jean-Jacques Kantorow, and Roland Daugareil.
Her passion for chamber music has led to collaborations with artists such as Alexandre Kantorow, Dame Felicity Lott, Gautier Capuçon, Olivier Patey, the Ebène and Psophos Quartets, and Romain Descharmes. At the same time, she has built a rich orchestral career: ten years with the Orchestre National de France under Kurt Masur and Daniele Gatti, followed by invitations as guest concertmaster with leading French and European ensembles, including the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre Royal Philharmonique de Liège, and La Monnaie in Brussels.
In 2020, she became first violin of the Psophos Quartet, joining an ensemble with more than 20 years of history. She performs on an 18th-century Italian violin that accompanies her on every musical adventure.
Gauthier Herrmann
Cello
A passionate chamber musician and laureate of international competitions in Florence, Heerlen, Illzach, Vibrarte, and Fnapec, Gauthier Herrmann has performed in over 50 countries. His curiosity and adventurous spirit led him to India in 2001, where he founded Artie’s, a project that brings musicians together worldwide under his artistic direction.
In 2012, he created the production company LdB-prod (Louis de Beethoven), dedicated to chamber music seasons that foster intimacy between artists and audiences. Alongside music, Herrmann is also an endurance sports enthusiast, having completed ultramarathons such as La Diagonale des Fous and the 100 km of Millau.
He performs on a cello by Giuseppe Rocca (Turin, 1853), generously entrusted to him by the Eisenberg Fund.
