Friday, 28th July, 6:00 PM (IST) Mazumdar-Shaw Auditorium, First Floor, Museum of Art & Photography Join us for an Artist Talk with Sonia Jose where she traces her interests, influences and preoccupations that shape her artistic practice. The talk will delve into her early explorations with materiality and ideas of spatiality, in relation to the immediate environment and her body. These interests are further combined with the socio-cultural conditions of the city and her time spent here; merging with her own experiences and histories. This talk has been organised as part of the larger programming around MAP’s exhibition - Visible/Invisible: Representation of Women in Art Through the MAP Collection; and has been curated under Thinking Cities, MAP’s public programming theme for the quarter. Through this theme, we explore and reimagine cities through the lenses of space, identity, history, memory and more. This event is free of charge.
