Why do we need a lunar orbiter? Why is the farside of the moon special? We don’t know much about the very first stars and galaxies in the Universe. PRATUSH is a proposed Lunar Orbiter experiment that will try to detect the signal from the very first stars and Galaxies and solve this big puzzle in our understanding of the Universe. Explore alongside Mayuri Rao the questions raised and efforts made in piecing together the puzzle. Though humans landed on the moon several decades ago, the moon still holds a lot of interest among scientists. In this event, V. Girish will draw upon his experience to discuss the importance of the moon for us, while also talking about the possible origins of the moon. Join us in this special edition of Astronomy on Tap with Mayuri Rao and V. Girish! This event is a collaboration between Astronomy on Tap and the Raman Research Institute.
