About the book:

Ismat - Nazraana-e-aurat, is an anthology of 35 poems in English, inspired by the observations and experiences of women, united in their love for expression through language. The poems describe the balancing act of complexities that being a woman in India poses. The anthology draws inspiration from the life and musings of Ismat Chugtai through her groundbreaking work in Indian Literature.

About the author:

Ismat: Nazraana -e- aurat is the fruition of the creative interests of 10 individuals - 9 poets and 1 illustrator. This body of work was compiled and edited and has contributions by Kriti Srivastava and Hamsini Hariharan along with Ashwathi PG, Hena Paul, Troika a.k.a Malvika Hasrajani, Minal Almeida, Shweta Bhatt, Smriti, and Vani Venugopal. The in-text illustrations are done by Shikhar Daydar.
