"Badshah Lear" documents theatre director MK Raina's adaptation of King Lear with Kashmir Valley's folk artists. The film explores themes of home, cultural resurrection, and artistic resilience, following Raina's return to Kashmir to work with Bhands performers previously banned by militants.
About the Filmmaker
Anant is a New Delhi-based filmmaker whose diverse projects have taken him from Everest to shark diving. He's also a percussionist and martial arts practitioner, bringing varied experiences to his documentary and experimental works.
