An immersive and intimate experience of Music and Abhinaya By Gargi Panchangam Śārṅgadeva, quotes in his book “Sangeet Ratnakara” (authoritative treatise on music) “Geetam Vaadyam tatha Nrityam trayam SangeetamuchyatE” - a confluence of melodic songs, instruments and dance makes Music.. Dance being an integral part of my musical journey & inspired by works of illustrious saints and poets of Bharatvarsha, this baithak is a humble attempt of mine to explore the compositions through the expression of emotions.

About Gargi Panchangam

Gargi is an Empanelled Bharatnatyam artiste of ICCR. Gargi acted in the National award-winning movie ‘Cheluvi ‘ (1992) directed by Girish Karnad and in many Kannada TV serials (up until 1998) as the leading lady. She has a Master in Molecular Genetics from SJSU (USA) and has worked extensively in cancer research at Stanford University and in the biotech Industry (California). Gargi is an accomplished Hindustani classical vocalist trained under Late. Padmabhushan Pt. Basavraj Rajguru. She is B High B-graded artiste of All India Radio.
