Extreme Underground India is back with the 2nd edition of BANGALORE DEATH FEST. 4 death metal bands are all set to decimate Bangalore this Dec 15th, 2024. Gear up to witness and experience extreme metal madness.

The line-up:

MALEVOLENT CREATION (Death metal/ USA)

MALEVOLENT CREATION started their career in 1987 in Buffalo, NY, where they recorded and distributed their first demo. Moving to a more fertile music scene in Florida they produced their second demo with a pressing of 1,000 copies. Finally, a third demo the following year was recorded by Scott Burns at Morris Sound which landed MALEVOLENT CREATION a record deal with Roadrunner and the first full-length album titled The Ten Commandments, is considered by many to be one of the strongest Death Metal debut albums. Continuing to fight their martial battles stronger and stronger with each release, MALEVOLENT CREATION labeled 'The Mike Tyson of Death Metal' never let anyone down with new additions or replacements.

MORAL PUTREFACTION (Death Metal)

Moral Putrefaction is an Old School Death Metal outfit that hails from Chennai. Formed in 2015, the band's lyrics focus on societal issues and the degradation of human moralities. The band's sound is influenced by bands like Bloodbath, Immolation, Morbid Angel, Cryptopsy, Cannibal Corpse, Carcass etc. The band had the honour of representing India at Wacken Open Air 2022 as a part of Wacken Metal Battle, becoming the first band from Chennai to do so.

OBLITERATING VORTEX (Technical Death Metal)

Obliterating Vortex is a four-piece technical death metal band formed in the year 2012. The music is as convoluted as the name itself - but then for aficionados of the metal music scene, as well as the particular genre they play, this is a compliment and not the other way round. Metal heads surely will not be disappointed upon checking their material - if you're into the soundscape with off-time signatures, gargantuan riffs hard to decipher easily, and growls from the bowels of the earth as vocals, played at blistering tempos, you've come to the right place.

VIRODH (Brutal Death Metal)

Virodh is a brutal technical death metal band founded in 2022 by Sourav, formerly of Pisakas and Rip-Off, the band is known for its intricate compositions, featuring odd time signatures, variable tempo shifts, and an unrelenting sonic assault. In 2023, Virodh finalized its lineup with the addition of Pranaw (ex-Crematomania, Pratikriya, Pisakas) on drums, Rudra (ex-Pratikriya) on vocals, and in 2024 Arun Natarajan (Eccentric Pendulum, Moral Collapse) joined on bass. Our sound is deeply rooted in old-school death metal, drawing inspiration from legendary acts like Suffocation, Gorguts, Deeds of Flesh, Tomb Mold, and Artificial Brain, delivering a punishing and highly technical experience.
