For the first episode of MAP’s new series Insider’s View, we present M+, Hong Kong’s new museum of 20th and 21st century visual culture in Asia. This virtual walkthrough, led by M+ Museum Director, Suhanya Raffel, will provide a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of the Museum’s inaugural exhibitions: M+ Sigg Collection: From Revolution to Globalisation, which presents a survey of contemporary Chinese art from the early 1970s to the present; and Asian Field, showcasing the monumental work by British artist Antony Gormley. MAP’s series, Insider’s View, takes you behind-the-scenes to explore the journeys of exhibitions, collections and programmes that inspire, engage and provoke curiosity. Through these guided walkthroughs, viewers can travel virtually to a range of diverse institutions and enjoy an exclusive peek behind the curtains as arts and museum professionals share funny anecdotes, rewarding experiences, and significant challenges in the conceptualisation, development and realisation of the projects in focus.
