Event Description

How can rapid urbanisation, combined with biodiversity loss, water insecurity, and climate change, be mitigated through nature-based solutions? Cities, like Bengaluru, are prone to environmental stresses like water scarcity, pollution and heat stress. ‘Blue and Green spaces’ in the city can help address these issues but their ecological and hydrological functions must be better understood for resilience and effectiveness. Bengaluru, like many Indian cities, has both existing and emerging ‘blue and green spaces’ with various levels of protection from land use and land-cover change.

Join Jagdish Krishnaswamy in understanding the current and future linkages between Bengaluru’s blue, green and grey.
