Event Description

On 5th October 2024, the Chowdiah Memorial Hall in Bangalore will host the highly anticipated world premiere of Beat Route, an innovative performance blending traditional rhythms and modern soundscapes. Directed by Roysten Abel, known for his acclaimed works like The Manganiyar Seduction, The Kitchen, and Weaving Voices, Beat Route is a collaboration with rhythm maestro Ranjit Barot, who has composed the music and leads the performance as the lead drummer.

There will be two shows on 5 Oct 2024 – at 5 PM and 8 PM.

In Beat Route, ten master folk percussionists from Rajasthan and Kerala join forces with Ranjit Barot to create an extraordinary drumming experience. Roysten Abel’s signature storytelling and powerful visuals (designed by award-winning filmmaker Kabir Singh Chowdhry), further elevate the performance, immersing the audience in a captivating sensory journey
