In 2019, Prashanth Pallemoni (Unnayanaa) travelled to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. During his time there, a chance meeting with a local band - Beta Mbonda Group - offered him an opportunity to engage with their music and gain insight into their lives and cultural context. What began as an informal exchange soon developed into a formal studio recording session, capturing the essence of their collaboration.
Prashanth is now set to present these unique recordings, accompanied by the story of how this cross-cultural project came to life.
The stories, sounds and ideas shaping the future of music
What is Field Notes?
Field Notes is where music, culture, and industry collide in the best possible way. It's a space for real stories, raw ideas, and honest conversations, shared by the artists and industry professionals shaping today’s music ecosystem.
At Blr Music Huddle, Field Notes brings together the music community to swap experiences, showcase work-in-progress projects, and dive into the journeys shaping how we listen, create, and connect. Think storytelling, rare sounds, bold ideas, and deep conversations, all in a setting built for learning from each other. In a world full of rapid-fire 'content' and superficial exchanges, Field Notes slows it down, making space for peer-to-peer learning, shared reflection, and fresh inspiration.
