This weekend, we have Gita Balakrishnan in conversation with Vinay Parameswarappa as they discuss Gita's latest book 1700 in 70 which is an inspiring story of determination, resilience, physical endurance and spiritual growth against the backdrop of India's diverse landscapes, cultures and architectural heritage. Gita Balakrishnan covered 1,700 km in 70 days, from Kolkata to Delhi. In this book Gita highlights the crucial role of design in every facet of our lives. She engages with local communities, immerses herself in their cultures and finds inspiration from their use of traditional construction practices. Vinay is the founder of Gully Tours, one of India's first experiential travel & learning companies that started in 2009.
