We're excited to announce a book discussion of Perennial, an anthology of 40 Hindi poems translated from across seven decades.

What happens when a poem crosses a language—and becomes, in the process, something reborn? This discussion brings together Tuhin Bhowal and Sourav Roy, the editors of Perennial (Red River, 2025), an anthology carrying the work of 40 poets from Hindi to English, for a conversation about the creative life of translation. The discussion will feature a reading of the poems alongside an exploration of translation as not merely a technique or aesthetic, but as an act of discovery, listening and re-creation. 

Join us for an engaging conversation moderated by poet Satya Dash about the curious half-lives of poetry as it flows between the languages of Hindi and English. This will be followed by an interactive Q&A with the audience.
