Join us for the launch of “Book One”, Sharmistha Mohanty’s most recent title, which is a free-flowing narrative in verse and prose, marking the debut of an astonishing new voice in literature. She will be in conversation with Sohini Basak, a writer of fiction, poetry, and the in-between.

About the Author

Sharmistha Mohanty is the author of three works of prose, Book One, New Life and Five Movements in Praise, and a book of poems, The Gods Came Afterwards. She has also translated a selection of Tagore’s fiction, Broken Nest and Other Stories. Her most recent work is Extinctions, a book of prose poems
