Event Description

At this week’s RS Connect, come and witness Carnatic Violin and Mridangam duo, Aniruddha Bharadwaj and Gurudutt KR, performing a variety of Carnatic music compositions, including spontaneous improvisations and musical exploration.

Aniruddha Bharadwaj is a well-known violinist in Carnatic Music circles. He has over 11 years of concert experience having performed in more than 400 concerts with renowned & upcoming artists at prestigious sabhas and venues. Aniruddha is a B’High graded musician of All India Radio and Doordarshan. He has received numerous awards and recognitions including the ‘Kalavanta 2018 title from Karnataka Fine Arts Council (a conglomerate of 10 prominent sabhas in Bangalore), scholarships from the Ministry of Culture, GoI, and GoK.

Gurudutt KR is a seasoned Mridangam artist, performing in the Carnatic music circles for the past 8 years. He is a senior disciple of Vidwan GS Nagaraj and has performed in most of the major Carnatic concert venues such as Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Sheshadripuram Ramaseva Samithi, Ananya Sbahangana, Bangalore Gayana Samaja among others.

Apart from being a performing musician, Gurudutt is also an IT Professional working with Informatica, a leader in ETL product development. He has an avid interest in Indology, Indian Scriptures temple architecture, iconography, and Spiritualism. Gurudutt is well versed in the Sanskrit language and the Vedas.
