Moderated by celebrated Kannada author Vasudhendra, this event brings together two talented translators, Suchitra Ramachandran, and Harsha Raghuram, for a thought-provoking discussion on the art and intricacies of literary translation. They will explore the challenges and triumphs of bridging linguistic and cultural worlds through translation.
About the participants:
Vasudhendra is a bestselling Kannada author, known for works like Mohanaswamy and Tejo Tungabhadra. He is also the founder of Chanda Pustaka, a publication house renowned for its quality translations in Kannada.
Suchitra Ramachandran is an award-winning translator and writer whose English translations from Tamil have been featured in prominent literary 'The Abyss' and has been shortlisted for the ALTA First Translation Prize.
Harsha Raghuram has a deep passion and translated Caroline Wahl's recent novel 22 Bahnen' directly into Kannada as 'Nanna Tangi Ida'.
