Event Description
The Value Education project by One Heritage Media and Shiv Kunal Verma is an attempt to widen educational horizons in India. The verticals being addressed under the banner of Value Education aim to qualitatively impact and change the Indian education system, especially at the K-12 level. The three core areas of focus in the project include detailed awareness of various parts of the subcontinent, environment and wildlife, and the military history of India. At present, none of these topics exist beyond the perfunctory in the laid down syllabuses of the various educational boards. The program being developed hence intends to give children in India learning resources that will alter their world view. The initial 12 book series as part of the Value Education project, along with the larger format books, will bring India to Indians globally, also going beyond the academic setting. In this session, Shiv Kunal Verma takes us through the contents of the publication, which is almost three decades of dedicated research.
