India’s hosting of the 2030 Commonwealth Games, and desire to host the 2036 Olympic Games, coincides with Australia’s own ‘Golden Decade’ including hosting the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane. And no sport is as golden for Australia as swimming.

Katrina Scarpin
Aquatics Teacher, AustSwim
Ms. Scarpin is an award-winning Australian swimming teacher under the AUSTSWIM licence, Australia’s industry standard for Swimming and Water Safety – delivered and recognised in across Australia. She is visiting Australia to teach Indian swimming teachers in the AUSTSWIM curriculum, supported by the Australian Consulate-General Bengaluru in partnership with Swimming Matters.
Hakim Habibulla
Olympian Swimmer
Mr. Habibulla represented India at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney in Swimming. He has experience across the sports industry, including as Founder and Director of Winning Matters Consulting, and as Managing Director, India and South Asia, Myrtha Pools India.
Nadan Kamath
Co-Founder, GoSports Foundation
Mr. Kamath is co-founder and Managing Trustee of GoSports Foundation, a National Award-winning organisation for elite athletes, and co-founder of the Sports and Society Accelerator.
He was involved in drafting the Target Olympic Podium Scheme, served as a member of the committee tasked with re-drafting the National Sports Code – which sets the standard for governance of national sports federations, and was part of the NITI Aayog constituted Working Group for the policy paper on a national Justice Stack, as well as several sports committees at both the state and central government levels.
Hilary McGeachy
Consul General, Australian Consulate
Ms. McGeachy is Australia’s Consul General in Bengaluru. She is a career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
She has previously served overseas in India and Germany. Ms. McGeachy holds a Bachelor of Arts/Law from The Australian National University and a Master of International Affairs from King’s College London.
