Event Description

Creating Habitats For Lepidopterans

A session led by ecologist Prerna Agarwal

Pollinator gardens are the easiest way to understand both insect and plant diversity and it is always fun and fulfilling to welcome these beautiful winged visitors and see them through all their stages of life.

This session, on the occasion of Big Butterfly Month explores the butterfly ecology of Bangalore and the possibility of creating micro habitats for butterflies and pollinators in cities, anywhere- be it a balcony, a large garden or on the roadside.

Ecologist Prerna Agarwal will give us practical tips on butterfly-friendly plant species and caring for them to create healthy homes that can attract, persuade them to stay and thrive.
